JUKEBOX JOHN

CHANGING HIS TUNE on Every issue.

AMERICAN FREEDOM WILL BE DOING A SERIES on John McCain
Foreign Policy { 2 } in series of 10
1. McCain was for kicking Russia out of the G8 before he was against it. Now, he’s for it again.
2. McCain supported moving “towards normalization of relations” with Cuba. Now he believes the opposite.
3. McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Hamas. Now he believes the opposite.
4. McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Syria. Now he believes the opposite.
5. McCain is both for and against a “rogue state rollback” as a focus of his foreign policy vision.
6. McCain used to champion the Law of the Sea convention, even volunteering to testify on the treaty’s behalf before a Senate committee. Now he opposes it.
7. McCain was against divestment from South Africa before he was for it.
Alas, the residual glow of my first CPAC gathering has begun to wane. And so my daily commute once again injects me directly into the logic vacuum of D.C. to be greeted by a far less agreeable crowd.
PREPAC
I spared no expense and purchased the diamond package (Moi also) which basically granted me access to any and all events, and if I so chose, best seat in the house and line-cutting capabilities (more detail on this later). As a result, my check-in was Wednesday night instead of Thursday morning. CPAC sponsors and all-around conservatives David Keen and Cleta Mitchell were there to greet the attendees. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks were served generously.
This is the Message I received from Gary and of course I remembered him. We had quite an interesting verbal chase after our first meeting. “In the bar of course.” I’m very flattered that he remembered me enough to allocate a paragraph in his column however; I do wish he had left out the “senior citizen” part. I will never attract anyone under 65 again. OH WELL!! The one I like is barely 65 and that’s young enough for me to be called a cougar. BE

Hi Barbara,
I'm not sure if you remember me but you can visit me at Stop Apologizing For Me. I will finally get around to posting my CPAC highlights on my site tomorrow. I enjoyed our time together and will most definitely seek you out in the crowd next year.
CPAC in retrospect
Barbara Espinosa. Barbara is a senior citizen whirlwind. You must strap yourself in tight to properly appreciate what I have lovingly come to call “The Espinosa Experience”. We developed instant rapport, she and I. Visit American Freedom for the overview, but whatever you find on her website, I assure you, it will pale in comparison to the live version. She is a blast! There are 2 things I know about Barbara Espinosa. One – she knows how to have fun; two- she really likes J.D. Hayworth. ( I didn't have a Vernon Parker T Shirt to wear) Barbara lives in Scottsdale thus I have a profound understanding for her political fervor. If I had to live in the aftermath of John McCain and Janet Napolitano’s immigration policies, I would be a J.D. Hayworth disciple too. If J.D. Hayworth has any sort of acceptable record on illegal immigration then I’m sold. If not, then the citizens of Arizona need to dedicate all tax revenue forthwith for the immediate research to facilitate the cloning of Sherriff Joseph Arpaio. Normally I would be against cloning but Arizona needs more Sherriff Joes and fewer John McCain’s.

Fannie Taps Treasury for $15.3 Billion More After a 10th Loss

Feb. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Fannie Mae will seek $15.3 billion in U.S. aid, bringing the total owed under a government lifeline to $76.2 billion, after its 10th consecutive quarterly loss.
The mortgage-finance company posted a fourth-quarter net loss of $16.3 billion, or $2.87 a share, Washington-based Fannie Mae said in a filing yesterday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
When I read the above story It precipitated me writing the story below. I have previously written a story called; "HOW IT HAPPENED AND WHO DID IT"
The Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) was created in 1938 by Franklin Delano Roosevelt during the collapse of the housing market in the depression. Fannie Mae originally operated like a national savings and loan, allowing local banks to charge low interest rates on mortgages for the benefit of the home buyer. Creating a secondary lending market.
Since 1968 when Lyndon Baines Johnson privitized Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (created in 1970) it has operated as a government sponsored enterprises (GSEs). This means these two companies are privately owned and operated by shareholders, they are protected financially by the support of the Federal Government. These government protections include access to a line of credit through the U.S. Treasury, exemption from state and local income taxes and exemption from SEC oversight.
GSEs such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mae, with their combination of private enterprise and public backing have experienced a period of unprecedented financial growth over the past few decades. The current assets of these two companies combine for a total that is 45 percent greater than that of the nation's largest bank.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s combined debt is equal to 46 percent of the current national debt. It is this combination of rapid growth and over leveraging that has lead to the current concerns of Congress, the Justice Department and the SEC with regards to the financial practices of these GSEs.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are the only two Fortune 500 companies that are not required to inform the public about any financial difficulties that they may be having. In the event that there was some sort of financial collapse within either of these companies, U.S. taxpayers could be held responsible for hundreds of billions of dollars in outstanding debts. A recent investigation by the Justice Department and the SEC into the accounting practices at Freddie Mac revealed accounting errors in the amount of 4.5 to 4.7 billion dollars. At last with the recent accounting scandal at Freddie Mac Congress the Justice Department and Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) are finally beginning to show concerns of the status these GSEs enjoy in the market. 2001: Republicans try repeatedly to bring fiscal sanity to Fannie and Freddie but Democrats blocked any attempt at reform; especially Rep. Barney Frank and Sen.Chris Dodd who now run key banking committees and were huge beneficiaries of campaign contributions from the mortgage giants.
2003: Bush proposes what the NY Times called "the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago". Even after discovering a scheme by Fannie and Freddie to overstate earnings by $10.6 billion to boost their bonuses, the Democrats killed reform.
2005: Then Fed chairman Alan Greenspan warns Congress: "We are placing the total financial system at substantial risk". Sen. McCain, with two others, sponsored a Fannie/Freddie reform bill and said, "If congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system and the economy as a whole". Sen. Harry Reid accused the GOP of trying to "cripple the ability of Fannie and Freddie to carry out their mission of expanding homeownership" The bill went nowhere.
FAST FORWARD TO 2008

It’s now 2010 and the Republicans have been trying since 2001 to subvert a housing crisis waiting to happen.

JUKEBOX JOHN ISSUED CHALLENGE TO DEBATE
February 25, 2010

In an unusual political move, conservative challenger JD Hayworth will visit the campaign office of the 24-year incumbent for a memorable moment, major announcement and press conference.
Hayworth Asks For As Many McCain Debates As McCain Asked Of Obama, Conservative Challenger Wants At Least Ten Debates with 24-Year Incumbent
PHOENIX, Ariz. February 25, 2010. Senator John McCain asked for ten debates when he faced Barack Obama in 2008. And conservative U.S. Senate challenger JD Hayworth doesn't think the people of Arizona deserve less.
At McCain Campaign headquarters in Phoenix on Thursday morning, Hayworth presented an official letter to McCain staff requesting the public debates for Arizona voters. The letter specifies that he wants - at minimum - the amount of debates that McCain asked for in the 2008 campaign.
"Senator McCain has always demonstrated himself to be willing to face off with his opponents in political campaigns. I look forward to a vigorous and respectful series of joint appearances where we can discuss how we view the future of the Republican Party and our country," said Hayworth.
Hayworth feels that, given the years Senator McCain spent away from Arizona to run for President, he can certainly spend a few days away from Washington to better inform the people of Arizona he represents
"It should not be acceptable to any Republican, indeed any Arizonan, that Senator McCain would debate more in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina than he would before his constituents," Hayworth said.

"What a welcome change it would be were presidential candidates in our time to treat each other and the people they seek to lead with respect and courtesy as they discussed the great issues of the day, without the empty sound bites and media-filtered exchanges that dominate our elections," McCain said in a letter to Obama released by McCain's campaign in June of 2008.
That public letter to Obama asked for the candidates to travel by plane together to the first of ten debates in the spirit of the Goldwater-Kennedy race that never came to fruition.
"The Hayworth campaign encouraged all Arizona and national media to immediately schedule debates with the McCain campaign. They should begin in March," Hayworth officials said.
Hayworth agrees and is encouraged that McCain has shown a propensity to engage in public discourse with those who disagree with him on key issues. Hayworth and McCain disagree on tax cuts, fighting illegal immigration, pro-life and pro-family issues as well as other key conservative concerns. McCain has also urged such ideas as "Question Time" for the American President.
"My campaign is open to all ideas regarding the format of these important debates including town hall formats," said Hayworth. "But we won't settle for anything less for Arizona than Senator McCain asked for America in 2008."
"HARRY TRUMAN'S BEST QUOTE"
A different kind of Democrat  ( hat tip David)
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, "My choices in life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference!
Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as many important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other 42 Presidents. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did after he left the White House. The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri . His wife had inherited The house from her mother and other than their years in the
White House, they lived their entire lives there. When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance' and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year..
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to Missouri by themselves. There were no Secret Service following them. When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating, "You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale." Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing, "I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise." As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food. Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today!, many in Congress also have found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their offices. Political offices are now for sale.
What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls
President Obama and congressional Democrats seem to be doing everything in their power to revive their national health care plan, but the public still isn’t buying.
A survey this past week prior to the president’s televised bipartisan summit on the topic found that voters still oppose the plan – and question many of its details - just as much as they have for months. Forty-one percent (41%) favor the proposed health care plan, while 56% oppose it. Those figures include 45% who strongly oppose the plan versus 23% who strongly favor it.
 SHAMASUMMIT
The Shamasummit hasn’t scammed the American people they still are not buying into “The One’s” Obamanation debt ridden, overtaxed healthcare plan.
After months of “We the People” holding townhalls, marching on DC, twisting, shouting and screaming for the world to hear WE DON’T WANT GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTHCARE the Obama administration is still not listening. BE
At summit, Obama mostly hears Obama AKA SHAMASUMMIT  by American Freedom
President Obama pledged to "listen" at the outset of his much-ballyhooed bipartisan health care summit on Thursday. Turns out he meant he'd be listening to his own voice.
By the end of the televised event, Mr. Obama had spoken for 119 minutes - nine minutes more than the 110 minutes consumed by 17 Republicans. The 21 Democratic lawmakers used 114 minutes, giving the president and his supporters a whopping 233 minutes, according to a "talk clock" kept by GOP aides.
From the beginning, no one could agree on anything, even how much time each side had used. When a miffed Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, pointed out early on that Democrats had controlled 52 minutes to Republicans' 24, Mr. Obama jumped in to dispute even that.
"I don't think that's quite right," he said.
But then, with a twinkle in his eye, he added: "You're right, there was an imbalance on the opening statements because - I'm the president." Half the room laughed. "I didn't count my time in terms of dividing it evenly."
Summit shows Dems uncompromising
”Says Obama 'truly not that interested in listening to the other side”
Rep. Tom Price, Georgia Republican, on Friday gave high marks to the TV debate on health care reform -- including one for President Obama -- despite Democrats and Republicans failing to reach a compromise.
"I'd give [the president] the grade of 'A' for hogging the time," he said. "I think the American people saw a president who is truly not that interested in listening to the other side."
Mr. Price also praised the six-hour debate for highlighting the challenges in trying to reform U.S. health care and proving to Americans that Republicans have indeed been sidelined in the debate.

Obama Renews Health Push
Retooled $950 Billion Plan Aims to Get Legislation Through Over Republican Objections
WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama is upping the ante on health care.
In a last-ditch effort to salvage his overhaul of the sector, the president unveiled a $950 billion plan that lays the groundwork for his party to try pushing its legislation through Congress without Republican support.White House Health Summary
Compare Proposals Reactions Roundup
Instead of paring his ambitions, as some in the White House had recommended, the president proposed a new plan based on what the Senate passed in December, adding more spending, more subsidies and a revised mix of taxes.
Mr. Obama's plan, released ahead of a televised health summit with congressional leaders Thursday, didn't include any additional nods to Republican ideas. Republican leaders denounced it, suggesting that the summit is unlikely to lead to bipartisan breakthroughs. White House aides said the president was prepared to incorporate Republican ideas
OBAMA LECTURES SHAMASUMMIT ON HEALTHCARE

HEALTHCARE BILL IS ABOUT BURNING YOUR RIGHTS GRANTED BY THE CONSTITUTION.
This isn’t about providing healthcare it’s about control of the American people, it’s about greed, it’s about power, healthcare has nothing to do with it. It’s about controlling 1/6 of the nation’s economic output.
The Democrats always threaten to use measures to get their way, or create new ones. This whole meeting was a manipulated setup - the bill is a warmed up version of SB 3962 which is an Obamanation. Americans have repeatedly voiced their opposition to government controlled healthcare and still the Congress, Senate and The Executive Branch of OUR government refuses to listen to “We the People” damn’it we have spoken now listen or you will be looking for work in the next election. Three U.S. Senate Democrats named to deficit panel

The trio of senior Democrats became the first members to be named to the panel after it was set up last week by President Barack Obama.
The panel will have broad leeway to consider tax hikes or spending cuts to come up with a strategy to balance the budget, excluding interest payments, in five years.
Its recommendations would have to be approved by Congress, which could be reluctant to take the unpopular steps necessary to stem the tide of red ink amid heavy lobbying by outside groups.
The above piece of news caught my attention; because I think it is the most blatant sham to be fostered on the public besides Obamanation healthcare in quite some time by the Democrats.

What responsible adult needs a deficit panel to tell them they are spending too much money? When you are borrowing 40% of your national debt from foreign countries plus paying interest. Your national debt is umpteen trillion dollars. You need a commission to point out that you are overspending and sliding a country in bankruptcy? Hope and Change is really not working for me. Full disclosure, I didn’t like the Hopey, Changy thing from the git go, I voted for the other guy.BE
Obama avoids hard choices
A weak leader talks tough and passes the buck

President Obama said on Thursday, "The politics of dealing with chronic deficits is fraught with hard choices, and therefore, it's treacherous to office holders here in Washington. As a consequence, nobody has been too eager to deal with it." He then handed the problem off to a commission, thus proving his point.
Mr. Obama likes to use the expression "hard choices," but he has yet to make any when it comes to federal spending. After announcing his fiscal commission, he went to Las Vegas and announced a $1.5 billion housing assistance program, seeking to bolster the flagging fortunes of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. It is hardly a hard choice to treat the government budget like an unlimited checkbook, funding targeted programs seeking political advantage. That part is easy. Paying for it is difficult, but that is not Mr. Obama's problem.
I'm Sick of BLAME BUSH and I "Inherited"
The MAINSTREAM MEDIA babbled again about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush, yada, yada, ya. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this pig slop.
So once more, I'll try a short civics lesson.
Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that has controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They have controlled the budget process for fiscal years of 2011, 2010, as well as 2009 and 2008. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For fiscal year 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets. Barack Obama has selective memory of where he was during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009.
Take a look at what the deficits looked like during that period:

(hat tip Sharon)

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything,he inherited it from himself.
Bottom line in an acorn, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20, 2009.

JUKEBOX JOHN
CHANGING HIS TUNE on Every issue.

AMERICAN FREEDOM WILL BE DOING A SERIES on John McCain
Beginning with: {1}
NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY:
1. McCain thought Bush’s warrantless-wiretap program circumvented the law; now he believes the opposite.
2. McCain insisted that everyone, even “terrible killers,” “the worst kind of scum of humanity,” and detainees at Guantanamo Bay, “deserve to have some adjudication of their cases,” even if that means “releasing some of them.” McCain now believes the opposite.
3. He opposed indefinite detention of terrorist suspects. When the Supreme Court reached the same conclusion, he called it “one of the worst decisions in the history of this country.”
4. In February 2008, McCain reversed course on prohibiting waterboarding.
5. McCain was for closing the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay before he was against it.
6. When Barack Obama talked about going after terrorists in Pakistani mountains with predators, McCain criticized him for it. He’s since come to the opposite conclusion.
WHO SHARES YOUR VALUES?

J.D. Hayworth....Bailouts Opposed the big bank bailouts, opposed the Obama plan, and opposed the McCain plan to leave taxpayers holding the bag for the nation’s bad loans.
3. John McCain.....Wrote the bill granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. McCain’s bill was estimated to cost the taxpayers more than $2.6 Trillion.
J.D. Hayworth.....Amnesty Helped lead the fight against the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill. JD is a national leader in the fight to secure our borders and protect our nation.

Flying the friendly skys!!!!
Trip Home from CPAC

Out of the cold of Washington, D.C. to sunny Arizona was another learning experience, proving the adage “you are never too old to learn” is true.
The airline was hustling everyone they could to give up their seat with airline dollars, pay for your hotel, food, transportation and booking you on another flight of your choice. Several people waiting to get on jumped at the chance to stay over, the ones of us who got on the flight were told by the attendant (Is that what they are called now days?) if three more of you don’t volunteer to give up your seat, we will start choosing who will have to leave the plane. Could this be why they have financial trouble?
After all of that was settled and we were in the air I met the Captain in the attendant area and I asked him why did 9 people have to get off and leave the seats empty? He was very helpful and explained it to me. Can you guess? I couldn’t, because they had too much fuel or cargo and plane was overweight. It seems they have a formula to calculate the weight they carry and calculate how many passengers to dump when plane is overweight and because it’s less expensive to dump people than fuel or cargo. The people gotta go!! He recited the formula weights etc. but who can remember all that math stuff. These pilot's are friendly guys and really like to talk. Who Knew? be

I-75 Lake City bill-board... every state should have one!!

the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his
name, but that America gave him the White House based on
the same credentials." Newt Gingrich
I-75 Lake City bill-board ; Anyone out there that knows who's responsible for sign, please send info via comments. The attached photo is of a billboard recently established on I-75 just south of Lake City [Florida]. We gathered there today to celebrate its unveiling. The cost of 10 months rental of the billboard and doing the artwork was $6500. We feel that is a reasonable cost to reach out to 1,000,000 vehicles per month and perhaps motivate their participation in the electoral process to get our country on a sound footing.

JOHN McCAIN gets by with a little HELP from his LIBERAL friends!!!

John McCain stated in the Republican debates at the Reagan Library that people can judge him by the company he keeps. Well let's take a little look at the people John McCain considers his "company".
Deceased Senator Ted Kennedy from the McCain-Kennedy immigration amnesty bill.
Senator Lindsey Graham who once called those opposed to amnesty for illegal aliens "bigots" at a La Raza conference.
Senator Mel Martinez an open borders proponent who favors amnesty and was a coauthor of the Hagel-Martinez amnesty bill prior to the McCain-Kennedy bill. Martinez once called enforcement without amnesty a "harshness only" approach.
Juan Hernandez, a former Mexican government official, a dual citizen and major proponent of rights and amnesty for Hispanic illegal aliens and the end of the sovereignty of America. He currently is working on the McCain campaign as his Hispanic Outreach Director.
Congressman Luis Gutierrez, a good friend of La Raza, who has put forth his own legislation for illegal aliens called the STRIVE act and was involved in formulating the amnesty bills. In addition he personally put forth a bill to give Elvira Arellano permanent residency - this was before she hid out in a church. He also called the police on a group of citizen lobbyists who came to question him on his stance on illegal immigration.
Senator Russ Feingold who was half of the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform fiasco.
Joe Lieberman, who together with McCain brought forth the McCain-Lieberman Stewardship bill to fight global warming.
Former Senator John Edwards who along with McCain and Kennedy wrote the McCain-Edwards "Patient's Bill of Rights".
Are you starting to see a pattern here? Lots of Democrats and Republicans (who are really Liberals) working together with McCain. This is the company he keeps and asks us to judge him by.
McCain will state that he is a "Reagan Republican", but nothing could be further from the truth. There's working together and then there is outright "being a member of the other party". Things to watch out for with McCain include the passing and implementation of the "fairness doctrine". Something that would censor and shut down talk radio stations, websites like this one and limit free speech in the United States. You don't think he'd sign it? Just watch him!
Watch the above video and tell me this is someone who really is looking out for the American people and not just some illegal foreigners, big business and future Democrat voters.
Thanks for some help from Ruth of Illegal Protest

I have posted Glenn Beck’s CPAC 2010 for those of you who may have missed his speech; he received a tsunami wave of applause upon entering the stage. In the bloggers lounge the new media blogger gave him a loud welcome as well.

I had invited Les Phillip into the lounge to watch with us and he kept shaking his head yes when Glenn would talk about smaller government, less spending, follow the constitution Les is another consistent conservation seeking office. Alabama if you are in the fifth {5th} district vote for this guy.

Glenn chastised the Republican Party his best comment; “it’s not enough to not suck as much as the other side.”
His comment the other side is like Hollywood they know how to package. My take is the other side can lie better than a Republican can tell the truth and that makes the difference.
The finale ended with a thunderous standing ovation from the audience and throughout the bloggers lounge/new media.
Last day of CPAC today we have had Newt and the finale is Glenn Beck giving the farewell speech. He starts at 6 P.M. its 3 P.M. here and there are people starting to stand outside the ballroom doors.
Today I met the Hon. Rick Santorum in the restaurant and had a nice chat with him; don’t be surprised if at some future date he seeks one of the top two spots in guiding the ship of state to a safe harbor. He was the last Republican to endorse Senator John McCain in his bid for the presidency. That alone is enough for me to support him. I would love to see him endorse J.D. Hayworth and only time will tell.
I had lunch with “The Other McCain” and was treated to a little insight on having the last name of McCain when you are the editor of a local Washington Newspaper. It seems Rush would see the name McCain and wouldn’t read his bylines. Pretty tough on your career when just the sight of the name that also belongs to someone else can piss off the most popular talk show host in history. We were also joined by Les Phillip who is a candidate for Congress from the Alabama’s Fifth {5th} district and his campaign staff. Les who is a graduate of Annapolis, Navy Fighter Pilot and has worked in the private sector is a far cry from a career politician. His staff is a very dedicated group of young people totally immersed in getting a conservative elected. I love the fact that there are so many young people here, its does this heart good to see there are young conservatives willing to step up and get involved.
My room has become the grand central station for a lot of the exceptional men I have met here. They come to take a shower, freshen up, take a nap, work on my new computer for me, bring cream for the coffee etc. I have been introduced and talked to more wives and children by phone than I meet in person at home. It's great the wives are neat ladies one sent cannoli's to us. Stacy wife says better you than me rooming with him for four {4} days. Alas!!! none single or the right age. All of them loving, loyal and kind husbands. Just the type of man you would like to have in your life, lucky women to have these guys.
Elizabeth my cab driver is meeting us at 5 P.M. I’m taking her to hear Glenn Beck and then she’s going to be interviewed by my buddy Peter, then it’s off to dinner with the group. When it seems like when your personal life has gone to hell in hand basket, something good happens. I have met some great people that I will stay in contact with so this has been a wonderful rewarding three {3}days. BE
I met this gentleman at CPAC and if I lived in Madison, AL. I would be working on his campaign to get him elected.

CPAC the evening of day one and day 2 heading into day 3 of the largest gathering conservative bloggers/activist and candidates in the history of CPAC. The bloggers lounge is open /new media CPAC Blogger Lounge is open for business Estimates are at about 10K attendees for this year's event. So far we've had Marco Rubio and Jim DeMint addressing the crowd. Both were fantastic, as expected, and got the audience fired up. Rubio detailed several key ideas he has for how to turn the country back from the Obamination that we find ourselves experiencing today: George Will was the keynote speaker at the Presidential Banquet he hit the nail on the head with facts and humor. A portion of the speech.

Day one ended with hobnobbing with new acquaintances in the atrium lounge. The conversations were well worth staying up long past my bedtime and having a couple of white Russians (a drink).
Day 2 started with me attending the presentation by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer JIHAD for full coverage of presentation click on More FDI below.

This by far as been the most interesting and intense presentation I have ever attended, It should be required for every member of government from the bottom to the Commander in Chief. Day 2 ended in the atrium lounge where I met up my new acquaintances from day one littlemissattilla, theothermccain, who introduced me to aconservativelesbian, obi’sister, baldilocks and of course Michael the Professor of Medicine who seems to be wherever there is a gaggle of women. The ladies went on dinner and had an exchange of ideas from men to the NRA. Great time.
Headed into day 3 this will end with Glenn Beck and my time in the nation’s Capital. It will be back to Sunny Arizona and campaigning for my 2 guys to represent Arizona. J.D. Hayworth to oust John McCain from his Senate seat after 24 years of being part of the WASHINGTON Establishment. Mayor Vernon Parker who is running for Arizona District 3 seat from retiring Congressman John Shadegg.

J. D Hayworth is was at CPAC today and had something to say.
Year of the Challengers
Republican incumbents, including Arizona Sen. John McCain, who was accused of "blatant hypocrisy" yesterday in a CPAC speech by his GOP challenger, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth.
The Republican Party's 2008 presidential nominee was slammed by Hayworth as part of the "Washington establishment" -- two words that amount to electoral poison in a year when voters are clearly in a mood of populist resentment that is both anti-Washington and anti-establishment. Arizona's senior senator "has undergone a campaign-year conversion to conservatism," Hayworth said in his speech to a CPAC panel devoted to First Amendment issues.
Hayworth noted that the Supreme Court recently rejected McCain's signature legislation, the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, as unconstitutional. A popular talk-radio host in Phoenix, Hayworth said McCain has attempted to "intimidate" the radio station that airs his program.
"After 28 years in Washington…it's time for [McCain] to come home," Hayworth said, eliciting hearty applause from the conservatives gathered in hotel ballroom.
It is difficult to calculate the odds on Hayworth's challenge to McCain. In addition to the natural inertia of incumbency, McCain has vastly larger sums of campaign cash, an ironic advantage for a senator who has for years railed about the corrupting influence of big money in politics.
HAYWORTH V. MCCAIN?
Long-Time Incumbent Apparently Pulls Ad After Hypocrisy Comes To Light; Had Criticized Hayworth For Funding “Snakes In Guam” Yet Voted For It Himself?
PHOENIX, ARIZONA. FEBRUARY 18, 2010. The recent flip flopping wasn’t enough to make him blush but apparently blatant hypocrisy is enough to make him blink.
Previously, John McCain was running radio spots criticizing conservative J.D. Hayworth’s “vote” to fund snakes in Guam. Then it came to light that McCain has supported the same funding himself.
The U.S. Senate's vote summary can be found here*.
Imperious campaign behavior like this may be the reason people like Joe The Plumber are opposing McCain’s re-election bid, labeling him a “career politician.”
This is not the first blunder by the McCain campaign. Vulnerable to the more conservative Hayworth on taxes, pro-life and pro-family issues and illegal immigration, McCain has resorted to attacking Hayworth on spending, despite Hayworth having a better lifetime rating from Citizens Against Government Waste, among other organizations.
McCain also voted for the $850 billion bailout of the big banks which included $150 billion in earmarks, proposed a $300 billion bailout for mortgage lenders and, according to the Heritage Foundation, sponsored an amnesty bill that would have cost taxpayers $2.6 trillion over the long-term.

Day One from the Marriott Wardman Hotel
CPAC is under way and this morning started with a little excitement. We went to get credentials to the media/blogger lounge and my mentor the infamous “The Other McCain” was hassled by the “man in charge” because he did not recognize him. Stacy gave him his American Spectator business card and he still hassled him. Stacy being just a little temperamental had to leave and have a smoke. The irony of the story is that we three nubees that Stacy wrote a very nice recommendation for were whisked through with the only hang up being they had to look for one of the registrations twice. CPAC is well organized and sponsored by The American Conservative Union, however the person in charge of media really should know who all of the top media/bloggers are. Stacy is a well known journalist, author and top top blogger. If “The Other McCain” decides to take pen to paper and name names, I wouldn’t want to be that dude. The saying the pen is mightier than the sword was written with Stacy in mind. Off to hear the speakers and gather information. Ciao BE
Dateline—First Night
CPAC Washington,D.C.
February 17, 2010
After my three buds Stacy, Smitty and Peter got to town my first night turned eventful. Besides meeting Elizabeth (the cab driver) I met some of the most interesting conservative new media bloggers in the country.
They are young, bright and enthusiastic, patriotic and love their country. Sometimes us “old farts’ forget youth is not necessarily wasted on the young.
All the men are interesting and fun to rattle their cages. I did meet two really fun guys to talk with, but I’m not telling who they are except one works for ITT and the other is a Professor of Medicine. I did met three of the most dynamic women new media bloggers and loved listening to their views on the world of politics.
Pamela Geller, Atlas Shrugs takes no prisoners’ she calls em’ like she sees em’ and is not shy about her opinions. Loved that Lady.
Joy McCann, Little Miss Attila is cute, bouncy with an impish smile and I’m sure when she gets through with an interview you are shaking your head wondering: did I just tell her that?
Jenny Erikson, Smart Girl Politics after meeting her you know why the name of her report is called The Smart Girl Report. Oh! How I wish more of my generation had been as involved as these interesting young ladies. All of these ladies have their facts straight and got it together. BE

D.C. not all BAD!!!!
Dateline Washington,D.C.

I am at the 2010 CPAC convention posting from The Marriott Wardman Hotel.
Karma is alive and well in DC and it’s not all bad, I had the most pleasant experience today with a cab driver. I was having trouble with my laptop and had to take it to be repaired. After one cab refused to take me (wasn’t going far enough). I got a lady cab driver and we got to talking she is here from Ethiopia to get her PHD in biology. She dropped me off at Best Buy and while I was talking to the clerk she came in and said so glad I found you. I couldn’t leave you to do this by yourself.
I bought a new lap top and it took them and hour to transfer my files. Elizabeth insisted on waiting with me. While we waited we had very nice lunch and she told me all about her family and country.
We agreed that the least important things in life are the things people strive most for. The most important his helping a friend or someone you just met. She’s comes from a very large family misses having the around. Elizabeth will be here for another 2 years and then home to continue her teaching career following in the footsteps of her family.
The Ethiopian government helps with education and Elizabeth said really had wanted to go a school that had more Caucasians because she like interacting with them. But she had to go where here government could work out the arrangements.
Elizabeth has been very disappointed in the poverty on the east coast. Is not enamored with the present administration. She says a lot of African Americans are not thrilled about Hopey and Change. Doesn't understand how the most powerful nation in the world allows their government to become corrupt.
Wouldn’t turn her meter on coming back to hotel, said pay me what you paid before.
What started out to be a frustration turned out to be a very pleasant and I leaned something about another country and culture. A very good day. BE

JD Hayworth - Freedom's Fire

HAYWORTH V. MCCAIN
Conservative Challenger Launches First TV/Web Ad Of Republican Primary Battle
PHOENIX, ARIZONA. FEBRUARY 17, 2010. Anyone attending events launching J.D. Hayworth’s conservative challenge to 24-year incumbent John McCain can tell the difference. Hayworth’s crowds are passionate, enthusiastic and full of Tea Party patriots. McCain's crowds are subdued.
And that conservative enthusiasm is celebrated in the Hayworth campaign’s first advertisement – “Freedom’s Fire.” McCain is vulnerable to the more conservative Hayworth on taxes, pro-life and pro-family issues as well as illegal immigration. Hayworth also has a better lifetime rating from Citizens Against Government Waste than the 28-year member of Congress.
McCain voted for the $850 billion bailout of the big banks which included $150 billion in pork, proposed a $300 billion bailout for mortgage lenders and, according to the Heritage Foundation, sponsored an amnesty bill that would have cost taxpayers $2.6 trillion over the long-term.

IT’S MARDI GRAS TIME

Good Tuesday morning. It's Fat Tuesday -- Mardi Gras. Tomorrow's the first day of Lent.
It’s party time in New Orleans and all points around the world. Madri Gras is a time for celebration before you make a pledge to give up something for Lent.
I went to my first Madri Gras at the tender age of 18 and was completely enamored with the Parades, the swirling colors, the costumes the sights and sounds. We were guest of my husbands (who was twice my age) best friend O.K. Allen Jr.
There was dancing in the streets throwing of beads the custom to see how many strands of beads you received in some eyes denoted how much love you would receive during Madri Gras.
AH!! I can still smell the French cooking throughout the French Quarter, The smell of Rice and beans, Etouffe, Beignets, Bouillabaisse, Seafood Gumbo and the ever present Southern favorite Biscuits that melt in your mouth with gravy that goes straight to your hips.
Those were the days my subscribers and readers when I was young and gay. Wasn’t concerned about what my government was doing, but those are memories of days past.
This Madri Gras day I’m off to Washington D.C. to learn how to become a better activist and report to you the abuses our government is taking to remove out Freedoms and Liberty. be

One of my all time favorites.
Congress started burning the Constitution 12 years after it was ratified.
1803 Chief Justice John Marshall declared that any act of U.S. Congress that conflicts with the Constitution was void.
I'm going to have to disagree with Michael on the title of his article "The Fight is Just Beginning" it seems the fight to preserve the vision the founding fathers saw for America when they crafted the Constitution has been going on for 207 years. The first 10 amendments to the Constitution- the Bill of Rights were ratified and effective December 15, 1791. A mere 12 years later they were already fighting over adhering to the Constitution. What I would like to know is when and who decided that The Rule of Law should no longer should be followed? be
"The Fight is Just Beginning"
A POLITICALLY CORRECT CONSTITUTION?
As we wait for the Obama Administration and the Democratic leadership in Congress to make their next moves to force unconstitutional legislation like “Health Care Reform” and “Cap and Trade” down the throats of Americans there are other battles dealing with our Constitutional liberties that need to be addressed. Many of these assaults on our Constitution, our traditions, and even our history are occurring at the local and state levels and in our educational institutions.
It is most often being done under the guise of “political correctness” a movement that has rapidly evolved from trying to encourage individuals to be more polite to each other and more sensitive to the use of language that might offend someone to an attempt by the far left to control the speech, thoughts, and actions of the American people. These blatant attempts to turn us into unthinking drones who only parrot the ideas that are deemed correct by the PC movement are aimed almost entirely at those who support the American way of life and the freedoms that most of us cherish. The effort has proven to be far reaching with PC edicts being enforced not only on public property but in private areas such as business offices and even homes.
Some of the more recent examples include:
A pastor and his wife in San Diego County, California were ordered by the county to stop inviting friends to their home to have dinner and engage in Bible study unless they pay thousands of dollars to the government for a permit to hold a “religious assembly”. It should be noted that the school district in this same county has set aside special times during the school day for Muslim students to engage in prayer on school property. No students of any other religions are granted the same privileges. Read complete article.
In life when one door closes another one opens, sometimes it’s along the same path and others it’s a whole new experience and sometimes an adventure.
Friday one door closed for me and today another one has opened on a different path. Today I stood with throngs of conservative patriots as one door closed for the Hon. J.D.Hayworth and a new door opened. J.D. is Arizona’s consistent conservative challenger to upset Senator John McCain’s bid for re-election.
J.D. is definitely outgunned in the money department Senator McCain has over $5 Million dollars in contributions from special interest groups, unions, lobbyist and Washington insiders. J.D. has a loving family, faith in God and the American people a list of staunch conservatives, a relatively small campaign fund (that was contributed by the working man/woman) and “We the People” of Arizona. J.D. Hayworth Launches Conservative Senate Challenge to John McCain
PHOENIX, AZ. FEBRUARY 15, 2010. Before hundreds of grassroots activists and Tea Party patriots, former U.S. Congressman and conservative talk show host J.D. Hayworth launched his challenge to moderate, 24-year incumbent John McCain today.
ANNOUNCEMENT SPEECH:
Ladies and gentlemen, fellow citizens:
Thank you for coming out today to join me us on this, what is a very special, day. Today is…well, the day after Statehood Day here in Arizona and of course, the day after Valentine’s Day. And contrary to some fevered imaginings, principally from those on the left -- I’m still here – I survived, although this was a very different valentine’s day from what we usually celebrate. Miss Mary sacrificed flowers and a dinner out last night to help us get this marvelous campaign headquarters organized. Which I’m sure comes as a shock to some of you. It confounds many, but I will tell you what it really is -- Mary’s willingness to stand behind me in what will soon be 21 years of holy matrimony which is both a blessing and miracle!
Joining us today are our three children; Nicole, Hannah, and John Micah.
Today is also the day we call Presidents’ Day, as we honor two of our greatest presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Mindful of Washington’s observation, “that actions not words are the true criterion of the attachment of friends”… And Lincoln’s admonition that he has a right to criticize who has a heart to help, today I announce my candidacy for the United States Senate from the great state of Arizona.
But Valentine’s Day is a breeze when you’re married to a wonderful woman like my wife, Mary, and I’m so proud to have her here with me.
Today I stand before you to officially announce my candidacy for the United States Senate from the great state of Arizona. You and I will be part of what will be a classic political match-up, with confrontation: John McCain and the Washington establishment on one side, and “WE THE PEOPLE” on the other. The other side has the establishment but I will take you – and everyone else.
It’s the everyman and woman that knows these are very difficult times for our country. Unemployment remains stubbornly and staggeringly high. Millions of Arizonans have seen their retirement savings dwindle. The small businesses that are the lifeblood of our economy won’t take on new workers because they are afraid of what Washington will do to them. The establishment bails out big business yet ignores the needs and requests of smaller...
The current Democratic leadership in the White House, House, and Senate are not up to the challenges we face. Their solution – more and bigger government, reckless bailouts, endless deficit spending, ignoring our Constitution, higher taxes, and a radical takeover of our health care system – cannot solve our problems. In fact, their so-called remedies would only make a bad situation worse.
My governing philosophy is no secret. It is based on limited government, free markets, a stable currency, and a strong national defense. My belief in God is also no secret. And that’s why I believe America’s best days can rise just beyond the horizon still in front of us.
Like Ronald Reagan, I believe that government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. And government isn’t just too big, it’s also too greedy. Washington always expects you to tighten your belt, but will never tighten its own. Case in point. Barack Obama’s new budget freezes spending on top of an 84 percent increase in discretionary spending that he signed into law. Now that’s bad enough, but the freeze also is delayed for one year.
After all, John McCain voted for the 850 billion dollar bailout – but then said, “It’s not enough.” So he proposed spending 300 billion dollars to buy up every bad mortgage in America. And did I mention his that bank bailout vote included 150 billion dollars in earmarks. The very spending he claims to oppose. He also supports a cap and trade plan that would impose a costly bureaucracy, raise energy costs and in the process raise taxes on American families.
Speaking of taxes, John McCain voted against the landmark Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, which I helped write, and to add insult to injury, he mimicked his leftist pals in the Senate by calling them tax cuts for the rich.
But maybe the most alarming initiative that John McCain has proposed is his illegal alien amnesty plan. According to the Heritage Foundation, the McCain amnesty plan would cost taxpayers you, me, and other American taxpayers $2.6 trillion dollars over the long-term. To be clear, that’s trillion, with a “t.”
You cannot call yourself a fiscal conservative and stubbornly push a $2.6 trillion dollar bailout for illegal aliens – and that’s what it is, a legal bailout – in defiance of the wishes of the people. What John McCain tried to do with his illegal alien bailout is precisely what Obama did with health care. Both failed because neither listened to the people.
We can do better, and when you send me to the United States Senate we will do better.
On the radio, it was my job to talk. As your Senator, it will be my job to listen. The entire Speech can be read here.

HOPE AND CHANGE
You have probably seen most of this regarding BHO. However, there are several new revelations of which I was not aware. It just boggles the mind that this individual is POTUS.
Obama Making Plans to Use Executive Power
WASHINGTON — With much of his legislative agenda stalled in Congress, President Obama and his team are preparing an array of actions using his executive power to advance energy, environmental, fiscal and other domestic policy priorities.
Mr. Obama has not given up hope of progress on Capitol Hill, aides said, and has scheduled a session with Republican leaders on health care later this month. But in the aftermath of a special election in Massachusetts that cost Democrats unilateral control of the Senate, the White House is getting ready to act on its own in the face of partisan gridlock heading into the midterm campaign.
“We are reviewing a list of presidential executive orders and directives to get the job done across a front of issues,” said Rahm Emanuel,(May 5, 2009) the White House chief of staff.
Any president has vast authority to influence policy even without legislation, through executive orders, agency rule-making and administrative fiat. And Mr. Obama’s success this week in pressuring the Senate to confirm 27 nominations by threatening to use his recess appointment power demonstrated that executive authority can also be leveraged to force action by Congress.
Making use of exective power is a way getting America to become a marxist county with expediency. be
KARMA
Western, Hindu, Gautama Buddha's, Spiritism, the interruptions are all the same, it comes down to what vibrations you put into the universe comes back to you. If your vibrations are negative bad things happen to you. My version is The Mystics look out for you if you are doing unto others as you would like them to do unto you. Deviating from the Golden Rule by taking advantage of a person’s emotion, finances or any other form of using a person is inviting The Mystics to whirl around you. Doing whatever mischief they think you deserve. Most teachings say that for common mortals, being involved with karma is an unavoidable part of daily living. However the decisions you make can affect your Karma. There is no right or wrong decision some are just wrong for your Karma. The choice of a life of hardships is, therefore, a way to rid oneself of the pain caused by moral guilt and to perfect qualities that are necessary for the spirit to progress to a higher form. The Christian concept of reaping what you sow from Galatians 6:7 can be considered equivalent to Karma.[34]
According to karma, performing positive actions results in a good condition in one's experience, whereas a negative action results in a bad effect. The effects may be seen immediately or delayed. Delay can be until later in the present life or in the next.
In Spiritism, karma is known as "the law of cause and effect", and plays a central role in determining how one's life should be lived. Spirits are encouraged to choose how (and when) to suffer retribution for the wrong they did in previous lives. Disabilities, physical or mental impairment or even an unlucky life are due to the choices a spirit makes before reincarnating (that is, before being born to a new life).
If you believe in the cause and effect/you reap what you sow and Karma, what vibrations are Americans putting into the universe that The Mystics are whirling around Washington, D.C. at break neck creating the destruction of American values? Can Americans stop it by putting prayer back in their lives? Allowing a God of all religions into their homes and lives?

St. Valentines Day is more than Roses, Candy and Poems
To my dear subscribers and readers my poem for you;
Roses are Red
Violets are blue
Today is Valentines Day
I Love you
Be my Valentine
It’s a mixed bag of History Love, Romance, Intrigue, Murder and Wars Started.
HISTORY
Like the Mythical Phoenix Bird that rose from the ashes, Love rose from Death.
The word ‘Valentine’ is synonymous with love, how many of us actually know the history of this day? Valentine’s Day began with Death!!! From the death of a Roman priest rose a day dedicated to Love for future Sweethearts and Lovers around the world for decades to come.
History of St.Valentine is as mysterious as the famous emotion associated with the day. Legend has it, that St.Valentine was a priest in Rome during the third century. It is believed that Emperor Claudius II forbade young men to marry during this time, as he felt that single men made dedicated soldiers. It is believed that Valentine saw gross injustice with such a move, and began to perform clandestine marriages. This enraged Claudius and Valentine was sentenced to death. Other stories about the history of Valentine’s Day suggest that Valentine may have been put to death while assisting Christians escape from Roman prisons. Another popular legend has it that during Valentine’s days in prison, he had sent a greeting to a young girl, thought to be the jailor’s daughter, who offered him companionship during the tough times. The famous expression, ‘From your Valentine,' may have begun in the letter written by Valentine himself to this young girl.
I’ve chosen but a few to share with you, this Valentines Day.
Arizona became the 48th State
1912 - Arizona (probably derived from the word arizonac, from two Papago Indian words meaning ‘place of the young spring’) entered the United States of America this day. For almost five decades, Arizona, the Grand Canyon State, was considered to be the last (48th) state. From its beautiful deserts come the state bird: the cactus wren; the state flower: the saguaro cactus’ flower, the state reptile: Arizona ridgenose rattlesnake; state fossil: petrified wood; state gem: turquoise; the oasis, the capital city of Phoenix. More American Indians live in Arizona than any other state, representing over 14 different tribes. But the Spanish influence is everywhere, including the official state neckwear: the bolo tie. Many outsiders don’t think of Arizona as having mountains, snow, lakes and rivers. Just to prove it, Arizona has a state fish: the Arizona trout. From the Grand Canyon to the Painted Desert, Arizona is proof of its state motto: Ditat Deus (God enriches).

As you have read anything can happen on February the 14th from Love to Murder, it’s really like any other day of the year except this day was set aside for Love. And really shouldn’t every day be set aside for Love? Love can be shone every day of the year not by gifts but by a phone call, a text message, an e-mail, a look, a smile, helping a friend unfortunately to many of us don’t take the time to show we care except one day a year. be
