Senator John McCain’s future in the U.S. Senate may be a little less assured than previously thought.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely 2010 Republican Primary voters in Arizona finds the longtime incumbent in a virtual tie with potential challenger J.D. Hayworth. McCain earns 45% of the vote, while Hayworth picks up 43%.
What I find very interesting about this poll is that (Former Congressman) J.D. Hayworth hasn't thrown his hat in the ring. If he makes the decision to challenge the incumbent, it will indeed be an interesting race for the citizen's of Arizona. With J.D.'s experience and political acumen he would be a formidable opponent for McCain. Some think McCain needs to exit the political stage.

 The bill has According to Americans for Tax Reform, Senate bill H.B. 3590 uses the word "tax" no fewer than 183 times, "taxable" 164 times, "taxes" 17 times, "fee" 152 times and "penalty" 115 times. The references are clear indications of how the administration plans to fund an overhaul that, we are supposed to believe, will bring health care costs down. It won't bring cost down its all smoke and mirror's. This bill will cost far more than the $848 billion over 10 years it's projected to. (Cato's Michael Cannon says as much as $2.5 trillion.) And a good part of those costs will be paid by adding to Americans' already painful tax burden. The most unfair tax is a levy on "Cadillac" health insurance plans. The Senate bill places a punitive 40% — NO IT’S NOT A TYPO, 40% — excise tax on health care plans valued at $8,850 and more for individuals, $23,000 and more for families. The margins for early retirees and high-risk professionals would be a little more generous — $9,850 for single coverage and $26,000 for family plans. The Senate bill will also conscript fees from companies that manufacture and import branded drugs, as well as those that make and import certain medical devices.The amount of each company's fees will be based on the company's share of sales for the tax year.

Wall Street Journal -- Showdown Set for Health Bill Liberals are scanning the fine print on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's proposed health care bill today looking for the catch. A big, expensive plan paid for with big taxes on those making more than $200,000 and a lot of new fees. Most of the Left don't mind too much the fact that Reid's plan would allow states to "opt out" of the government plan because all states will eventually opt in. Who wants to pay for socialism but not get its modest benefits That's why Reid appeared with the most liberal members of the Senate, Al Franken, Tom Harkin, etc. to announce his bill.
My column today argues that Reid actually needs this plan to fail so he can save face on the Left but not get tarred with backing the behemoth when he's running for office next year. Writers Greg Hitt and Janet Adamy look at where all the money will come from. "Funding the bill is proving troublesome. Mr. Reid decided to pare back a proposed tax on high-value insurance plans, bowing to liberal and union complaints that the measure would hit middle-class families. Under his proposal, the tax would fall on plans valued at more than $23,000 for couples, up from $21,000 in legislation written by the Senate Finance Committee. The tax was estimated to raise $149 billion over ten years, far less than earlier envisioned. To help make up for the lost revenue, Mr. Reid inserted a provision that would raise Medicare payroll taxes on couples with income of more than $250,000 a year. For those families, the levy would be raised to 1.95%, up from 1.45%. Overall, the proposal would bring in $54 billion over ten years. Mr. Reid is also proposing a new tax on elective cosmetic surgery, generating $5 billion."

Jeremiah Wright who have visted the White House along with AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka and the big winner 19 times SEIU Andy Stern of the (SEIU) Service Employees International Union.
"Dreams of My Father", he states, "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race". And in his book, "Audacity of Hope", stated "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction".
Have the political winds shifted? Is he standing with the Muslim's? Is his decisions making America less safe, and more vunerable to future terrorist attacks?  Unemployment is at a record high, the value of the dollar is in the toilet. The Administration continues out of control spending with deficit reaching over $13 Trillion dollars and that doesn't include the interest. The administration is borrowing 40%  plus interest of the budget to pay the debt. I don't know about you but I've never been able to borrow myself out of debt. To make it worse and devalue the dollar more the printing presses in Treasury are on full speed ahead. Along with all of this Congress continues to burn the Constitution and ignore "We the People." If we are to glean anything from connecting the dots, it's we better get off our asses in 2010 are there won't be a promised land. We will be living in the USS of A with socialist dictators as our allies.

Reported by the Washington Examiner according to Recovery Chief G. Edward DeSeve, the man running President Obama's economic recovery effort has a post up today on Recovery.gov that deserves a place in the Out-of-Touch Government Officials Hall of Fame. DeSeve is Special Advisor to the President, Assistant to the Vice President and Special Advisor to the OMB Director for Implementation of the Recovery Act.


Titled "Looking at the big picture on the Recovery Act," DeSeve claims all those "mistakes" like the thousands of jobs created in congressional districts that don't exist or counting raises as jobs created by stimulus funding "are relatively few and don't change the fundamental conclusions one can draw from the data."
DeSeve might as well have said "nothing to look at here, folks, now move along." Or perhaps "hey, it's close enough for government work, so what's the problem?"

The problem with bureaucratic government agencies is they are not accountable to the people that are paying their salaries, so it's easy to screw them over and dismiss their concerns " We The People" most of the time don't know who they are and we can't fire their tush for incompentence.  Barbara Espinosa

( Hat - Tip: Get Liberty) Yesterday, we reported on the Washington Examiner uncovering 75,000 plus bogus jobs from the Stimulus Bill. Today, we have even more fishy news on the Stimulus front.

Bill McMorris from Watchdog.org discovered that there seems to be stimulus money going to "phantom congressional districts", according to Recovery.gov. D.J. McGuire from Virginia Virtucon dug into this claim in Virginia and discovered that not only was this claim true, but Virginia, which has 11 congressional districts, received stimulus funds in many, many more districts than the recognized 11. Notice, this chart (click here to see chart) showing the funds being delivered to Virginia includes many more districts than the federally recognized 11. Even further, the chart shows jobs being created in "unknown" portions of Virginia. And, according to Bill McMorris, this is a widespread problem not exclusive to Virginia. Non-Existent Arizona 9th and 86th Congressional Districts
Have you ever been to the 9th Congressional District of Arizona? Or Arizona’s 86th Congressional District? You probably haven’t because they don’t exist. Yet, somehow, the Obama Administration claims to have created or saved 30 jobs in this fictional portion of our state! And not just in Arizona.
Recovery.gov is reporting jobs saved or created in fictional districts all across the nation. Read the breaking news below from ABC and ask yourself: “Is this the same federal government Democrats want to entrust with our health care?”

Here's a stimulus success story: In Arizona's 9th Congressional District, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that's what the website set up by the Obama Administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says. There's one problem, though: There is no 9th Congressional District in Arizona; the state has only eight Congressional Districts. There's no 86th Congressional District in Arizona either, but the government's recovery.gov Web site says $34 million in stimulus money has been spent there. In fact, Recovery.gov lists hundreds of millions spent and hundreds of jobs created in Congressional districts that don't exist. In Oklahoma, for example, the site lists more than $19 million in spending -- and 15 jobs created -- on Congressional districts that don't exist. In Iowa, it shows $10.6 million spent -- and 39 jobs created -- in non-existent districts. In Connecticut's 42nd District (which also does not exist), the website claims 25 jobs created with zero stimulus dollars. The list of spending and job creation in fictional Congressional Districts extends to U.S. territories as well. $68.3 million spent and 72.2 million spent in the 1st Congressional District of the U.S. Virgin Islands. $8.4 million spent and 40.3 jobs created in the 99th Congressional District of the U.S. Virgin Islands. $1.5 million spent and .3 jobs created in the 69th district and $35 million for 142 jobs in the 99th district of the Northern Mariana Islands. $47.7 million spent and 291 jobs created in Puerto Rico's 99th Congressional District. Stimulus Fund Mystery Interesting facts and figures, but none of these districts exist.
The Recovery.gov Web site was established as part of the stimulus bill "to foster greater accountability and transparency" in the use of the money spent through the stimulus program. The site is a well-funded enterprise; the General Services Administration updated it earlier this year with an $18 million grant.

Sarah Palin's book has been highly anticipated for months. It is so anticipated that Oprah has an interview scheduled, and it will air tomorrow. Clips of the interview have already leaked. The clipped that leaked was when Oprah asked if the father of her grandchild would be coming to Thanksgiving. Palin laughed.

Along with big-name media appearances, Sarah Palin's three-week book signing bus tour starts on Wednesday. The Guardian writes

Our job is to read bad legislation so you don't have to, and on that score we may demand combat pay for plowing our way through the House health-care bill that passed on Saturday. This thing has economic booby traps everywhere, such as favors for the tort bar (see below) and the largest capital gains tax increase in at least a half-century.House Democrats are funding their new entitlement with a 5.4% surtax on incomes above $500,000 for individuals and above $1 million for joint filers. The surcharge is intended to snag the greatest number of taxpayers to raise some $460.5 billion, and so the House has written it to apply to modified adjusted gross income. That means it includes both capital gains and dividends.

That surtax takes effect on January 1, 2011, or the day the Bush tax rates of 2001 and 2003 expire. Today's capital gains tax rate of 15% would bounce back to 20% because of the Bush repeal and then to 25.4% with the surtax. That's a 69% increase, overnight. The last time investors were hit with anything comparable was 1986, when the capital gains rate jumped to 28% from 20%, a 40% increase, as part of the Reagan tax reform that lowered income tax rates.The 1986 experience was not a happy one. Tax revenues from capital gains surged before the increase took effect in 1987, as investors moved to cash in at the lower rate. Revenues then plummeted. Total realized capital gains didn't again reach their 1985 level of $172 billion until 1996. By 1992, the federal government was barely getting more in revenue ($29 billion) at the 28% rate than it did in 1985 ($26.5 billion) at the 20% rate.Rate reductions, as in 2003 when Republicans cut the rate to 15% from 20%, have typically had the opposite effect. Treasury receipts from capital gains climbed to an estimated $117.8 billion in 2006 from $49 billion in 2002. While the rising stock market through this period played a role, so did the "unlocking" effect from a lower rate that reduces the friction of taxes on decisions to buy or sell and thus report a capital gain.

 Both the economy and the Treasury also benefitted when Bill Clinton agreed to reduce the rate to 20% from 28% as part of his budget deal with Newt Gingrich in 1997.Candidate Obama acknowledged this reality in April of 2007, when he backed away from his original proposal to nearly double the capital gains rate to 28%, and instead suggested 20%. He also promised to eliminate the tax entirely for small business. "I'm mindful that we've got to keep our capital gains tax to a point where we can actually get more revenue," he said at the time. While families of all income levels realize capital gains, Internal Revenue Service data from 2007 show that 58% of overall capital gains revenue was reported by taxpayers with adjusted gross income above $1 million—and would be subject to the new 25.4% rate. The actual percentage of revenue subject to the penalty would be higher when counting individuals with income above $500,000.

Some readers may think that this 5.4% surtax can't possibly make it into a final Congressional bill due to Senate opposition, but we wouldn't be so sure. Mr. Obama hasn't said so much as a discouraging word about the House bill. And we've seen in the past 10 months that when Mr. Obama's campaign promises clash with the priorities of House liberals, the liberals always win.

RIGHT PLACE-----RIGHT TIME

The most interesting person I met at the Tea Party Express Rally in Orlando, Florida.
How I happened to be at the right place, at the right time.

I had been asked by Mary to monitor the steps while she took a short break to her vehicle and to stop anyone from going backstage.

A handsome well dressed gentleman was my first and only trespasser, when he started to remove the rope, "I said excuse me, but you can't come back here, he looked at me sorta like I can't believe you said that to me. Me being shy and retiring continued I'm sorry but no one is allowed back here. About that time Mary rescued him and told me it's O.K. he's with the Tea Party and I jokingly asked, Do you have identification? Stuck my hand out and introduced myself. Then we started talking . . . My lead question was how do you happen to be working for the Tea Party?

One of the brains behind the movement is Sal Russo, of Russo, Marsh and Associates, a Sacramento campaigning firm, formerly an adviser to Ronald Reagan and Rudy Giuliani.

I asked him a montage of other questions including the usual where he was from etc. and finally got around to asking his name. He told me Sal Russo {I was clueless as to who he was} we continued and he told how a young man out college got involved in an actor's campaign who wanted to run for governor of California, my comment was that wouldn't have happened to be Reagan of course he affirmed it was and told me that after Reagan won he went to work for him in Sacramento, didn't say doing what and I didn't ask.

My first smartest comment was did you work for him in Washington? He told me he wasn't able to move to Washington that he had small children but he sometimes went back and forth. My second smart comment was Oh! That's too bad I think that would have been interesting. We then started talking politics and the 2010 and 2012 elections and Sal started asking me questions who I liked etc. I gave him my opinion about the various potentional candidates and he parted some of his wisdom. He told me the names in the news that generated the most thunderous applause across America at every stop. Yep, you are correct. I'm going to leave you guessing.

I will share with you that he thought Jack Kemp would have made an outstanding President, I told him my perception of Jack Kemp was that he was honest, told it like it was and I would have voted for him. He then told me that I was correct and that Jack was his friend for forty years and how sadden he was by his death. I realized Sal must be a well known person when "The Other McCain" wandered up and I introduced him and I think Stacy said OH! Yes I interviewed you for: and at that point we had our picture taken made some more small talk and went different ways.

Why am I sharing this with you? When I got back to the Hotel I did a Google search and this is one of the most accomplished men in politics, The Tea Party Express movement was his idea. Never once did he indicate that he had held positions of influence in the Reagan Administration or the extinct of his involvement in the Tea Party Express or any of his other accomplishments. In my humble Texas opinion he is a class act and I will vouch that he is certainly is not braggadocious.

My advice to anyone who wants to run for a higher political office such as President, Vice President, Senator or Congressman enlists this man to advise you. If he can take a group of citizens and channel their energy into the success of the Tea Party movement, with over a million people coming together at their own expense to march on Washington, D.C. think of what he could do with a candidate that has the values Americans believe in.

Mr. Russo has spent over 30 years in the field of political consulting and public affairs. He has been a senior advisor to several Republican presidential campaigns. A renowned consultant and strategist, Mr. Russo's expertise extends to every aspect of the profession. Russo's early conservative influence can be traced back to Barry Goldwater, who inspired Russo to become active in political causes while in college. Soon thereafter he met Reagan and his life was forever changed. Mr. Russo went on to become a leader in Republican campaigns at the state and national level, and helped freedom-loving people in campaigns around the world.

Could this be the reason the Tea Party Express, and the 9-12 march on Washington, D.C. have been so successful, because he's more interested in what's good for America than taking credit or having his name in lights? I think so.

THE LAST STOP FOR THE TEA PARTY EXPRESS TOUR

The Tea Party Express bus rolled into Lake Eola Park in Orlando, Florida around 6 p.m. for its 37^th and final stop on its second tremendously successful trip across America. It was overcast and chilly but that didn't keep from 5,000 to 7,000 patriots from showing up cheering and waving goodbye, with promises of not giving up the fight to keep America free of socialism and tyranny. It was a wonderful sight, very awe inspiring to see the outpouring of Americans come together for a common cause. The big question of the evening left unanswered is to the government: "DO YOU HEAR US NOW?"

It was like having the last dance of the evening with the man of your dreams. Wonderful and looking forward to what would happen on the next date.

I met up with my old friends from other events associated with the Tea Party -- Susan from Michigan and Stacy McCain famed author who blogs as "The Other McCain." We had planned our get together to celebrate how successful the Tea Party Express has been and to participate in the festivities. It's been rewarding to have developed good friendships with like-minded conservatives who love their country and get involved in trying to preserve our freedom and liberty.

I got to see Kenneth Gladney, whom I met on Route 66 in Flagstaff, Ariz., during the first Tea Party Express tour. He is the young man who was beaten within an inch of his life while selling Gadsden Flags by the SEIU thugs in St. Louis, Mo. He is doing well health-wise but has had some bad luck. The person who was managing his finances from his flag sales stole all of his money and left him stranded in Washington D.C. However, he is one determined young man who just keeps on keeping on. He told me he has to get the conservative message out because of who he is.

Lloyd Marcus and his wife Mary were there along with Ron and Kay Rivoli singing their hearts out causing the crowd to go wild with applause. My friend Susan got to do the Radio City Rockette line-dance as Lloyd Marcus sang his 2010 song.

I also met Jim Robinson of Free Republic. http://freerepublic.com/ and Carol Taylor a young lady who has read the entire 1990 pages of H.B. 3962 a feat that the Congressman who passed the bill had not been able to do before they voted on the bill, stating it was too long and complex. Like I've always said if you want a hard job done, depend on a woman to get it done. The evening was a roaring success and the finale was spectacular. Judge Hamilton, a district court judge, is Barack Obama's nominee to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.  That very court has cited Judge Hamilton for abusing his power as a judge.

In 1994, the 7th Circuit rebuked Judge Hamilton for denying a Rabbi the right to display a Menorah as part of an Indianapolis holiday display.

In 2005, Judge Hamilton prohibited the Indiana House of Representatives from praying if Jesus's name was mentioned, but said praying in Allah's name was perfectly fine.

He also is one of the most lenient judges in America when it comes to crime and criminals.

In United States v. Rinehart, 2007 U.S. LEXIS 19498 (S.D. Ind. Feb 2, 2007), Judge Hamilton used his opinion to request clemency for a police officer who pled guilty to two counts of child pornography. The 32 year old officer had engaged in "consensual" sex with two teenagers and videotaped his activities.

In United States v. Woolsey, 535 F.3d 540 (7th Cir. 2008), the Seventh Circuit faulted Judge Hamilton for disregarding an earlier conviction in order to avoid imposing a life sentence on a repeat offender.

Lets put the 12 trillion dollar US DEBT into perspective:
That is 12 trillion dollars in terms of time and space?
If you spent $1 per minute it would take 22,816,000 years to spend 12 trillion. Which would mean you would need to have started spending at the beginning of the Neogene Period or 20 million years before the Ice Age. If you had 12 trillion frequent flyer miles, you could travel first-class, round-trip to the SUN and back 67,500 times. Beyond threatening our economic security, our national debt is imperiling our national independence. We now owe foreign entities $3.448 Trillion - 28.2% more than just 12 months ago!
Three of the five largest holders of US debt should cause you sleepless nights.
We owe China the most, $797 billion -- 38.9% more than we did just 12 months ago.
We owe Oil Exporting Countries $189.2 billion – 11.5% more than just 12 months ago.
We owe Caribbean Banking Centers (thought to hold billions in narco-terrorist money) $180.2 billion – 35.5% more than just 12 months ago.
Japan and the United Kingdom round out the top five foreign debt holders, with our debt to the UK increasing an astonishing 173% in just the last 12 months.
Can we really expect China to increase its lending to the US by nearly 40% next year, and each of the next nine years? Even if it wanted to, the UK doesn’t have the cash to increase its lending to the US by another 173% next year. Any one of these debt holders could put the US economy in collapse overnight by selling or even just threatening to sell off their US debt holdings.
We owe them...they own us! Clearly, our national independence is in grave risk.
The Federal government also owes Social Security and Medicare $4.5 Trillion. With the economic downturn, Social Security doled out more money than it took from employees’ paychecks for the first time this year. By 2016 - just seven years from now - according to the Social Security Trustees report, Social Security will move from surplus to permanent deficit as the baby boomers retire.
That "lock-box" presidential candidates like to talk about has never existed. The Social Security ponzi scheme makes Bernie Madoff look like a wayward kid shoplifting a pack of gum.
If we do not balance the budget by the time Social Security moves to permanent deficit in 2016, we almost assuredly will not without a cataclysmic economic crisis.

What’s the solution? A balanced budget constitutional amendment.
History has shown Congress simply won’t act responsibly unless the voters force them to balance the budget. With great voter pressure, Congress came within 1 Senate vote of passage of the balanced budget amendment in 1996 – and the Congress passed balanced budgets each of the next four years. When support for the balanced budget amendment waned, Congress spent like crazy.
A balanced budget amendment is the only cure to a Congress unwilling to control spending. In fact, Germany passed the BBA just last year.
